Randomness from the past 2 weeks
The past two weeks has been filled with sick kids, Doctor appointments, silly moments, sleepless nights, loose teeth, parent teacher conferences, cute quotes, frustration, snuggles and love (lots and lots of love). Over the past 16 days, Lee has been home 4 full days. Needless to say I have had my fair share of melt down moments. When I'm not melting down I feel extremely lucky to be able to stay at home and raise 3 adorable little boys (I never take it for granted). Last week started out with Brody getting terribly ill (105 fever for days, kind of sick). Sick children brings out the crazy in me. I am a germaphobe with OCD tendencies. Not only is it exhausting to care for sick kids on your own, its really exhausted when you're crazy. I wash my hands every couple minutes (this is not an exaggeration), I wash everything (the dishwasher and washing machine run all day), I sani wipe ALL DAY long. This is no joke people , I am certifiably crazy and I know it (if I know it, does that make me less crazy?). I recorded a talk show and plan on watching it tonight in hopes that it makes me feel a bit better. Its a show on severe OCD (so thankful I don't have it to the extent that some do). So far I have kept the baby germ free. Baby man is still happy as can be. He has started to figure out his hands and finding a fist full of moms hair is beyond exciting (the harder I try to pry his little fingers open, the more excited he becomes). He has also started to scoot on his belly. He does not like tummy time so instead of fussing he taught himself to scoot. This baby is taking after his mama. I swear he spends half the day in his own little world laughing at absolutely nothing. I was asking Brody the other day if he will still be as sweet to his brother when he starts moving and getting into his toys. Brody's response "when Cash is walking I will be an adult and I will just tell him I'm too busy to play" (dagger to the heart, kill me now). Brody got a lot of extra attention that day. Brody, Brody, Brody what can I say....he makes our lives interesting. He can make my blood boil one minute and completely turn me into a bowl of mush 2 seconds later. The other day Buster threw up and Brody came running to get me. His exact words "I can't believe what a little ass-ball Buster is. He threw up on the floor" (umm, excuse me, ASS-BALL). I don't swear and Lee only has one curse word that he uses when referring to the dogs, I'll give you one guess what the word is. To look on the bright side at least he doesn't know the correct word. My blood was boiling when I heard those words, I had to attend to the mess and deal with Mr. Pottymouth after. While I was cleaning up the mess he laid next to Cash on the floor and was talking sweetly to him. I heard in the sweetest little voice "I love my brothers and don't nobody ever do anything bad to them" (all my anger turned to mush). He's like a sour patch kid, first he's sour then he's sweet. I had the boys parent teacher conferences this week. Brody's teacher started to explain that they are mostly working on social skills right now and that Brody has no problem in that area. She said "Brody is quite popular with the girls in class". His popularity with the girls is actually becoming embarrassing. Every day when leaving school he will have at least one girl run to give him a hug and the other day when I was saying goodbye, one dad whipped around and said "OH, Brody the man crush is back" (WHAT?) Today when walking to the car to told me that someone kissed him on the lips in the puppet center (his father finds this hilarious, I find it concerning). We get some great laughs from Brody. Just today he told me that he is going to be a genius when he grows up and when he's an adult all is is going to buy is sugar and butter and put sugar on the butter then eat it. I always go into Brody's parent teacher conferences nervous and I go into Landon's parent teacher conferences excited. Landon is such a sweet, kind, handsome, old soul. She said he is excelling in every area and his favorite thing to do is finish his work so that he can help a boy that sits next to him that needs more help. She also said that he loves to color, he colors her pictures every day and he gets so into coloring that you will always see crayon marks on his desk but she doesn't have the heart to tell him afraid that he will think he is doing something bad. He gets rewards from school every day for his outstanding behavior and always makes sure to bring one of his prizes home for his brother. If he gets two skittles that day, he will save them all day, come out of school with two melting skittles in his hand and let his brother choose what color he wants. Landon has two wiggly teeth. He is so excited for the tooth fairy to come. We bought him a book "Bears loose tooth" and after reading it the boys were talking about the tooth fairy. Brody said that he thinks the tooth fairy might bring chocolate money and Landon said he thinks she might bring real money. The next words out of Landons mouth "whatever she brings I'll share it with you Brody" (proud mama right here). Some sad news.......the flippee broke today =( I'm going to be cleaning pee off the floor again. Some good news............Lee was awarded an upgrade class to the jet and he no longer looks like Tin Tin. He had the most horrific haircut while in Sacramento that left him looking like Tin Tin (our only option was to buzz his entire head, it was that bad). Some astonishing news..... I actually shaved my legs and painted my nails this week (woot woot). We had a family date night to the movies that ended with a gut busting dance party in the car. It was so nice to get out of the house and do something as a family. Honestly, I was going to stay home with the baby (I am so tired) but Lee talked me into it and I'm so glad he did. Baby man sleeps through the night and for some reason I can not. The plus side to insomnia is I find some ridiculous shows that have me absolutely belly laughing (my latest favorite is Here Comes Honey Boo Boo). Due to my lack of sleep I find myself dozing off in the day which I have never done before. THe two times I did doze off the baby was sleeping and the big boys were playing. One day I woke to find a paper on my face that read "there aer 12 bugs hidin" and the house was covered in bugs that the drew, colored, cut out and stuck to the walls (some of them I have to admit, were pretty impressive). Today when I dozed off I woke up and the house was quiet. I found them in their bedroom in underwear with belts on, playing battleship (apparently belts are a necessity when playing battleship). Well I have rambled long enough in this ginormous post. I'm off to find a snack and watch my show on people who are crazier then myself. Goodnight
