Santa
Our night with Santa.
We dressed the kids up, threw them in the car, blared the christmas tunes and took off to see Santa. The kids told him what they wanted, they played some games, rode the carousel (not once but twice per Cashs' request), and tried their very best to talk their dad and I into buying them a gun (not happening kids). We went out for a nice quiet dinner then surprised them with a car ride through the loop of lights. We made a quick stop at a corner store and I ran in to grab everyones favorite treats. Now we had sleepy, excited, sugar high children....perfect combo for any Christmas outing. Aren't all Christmas outings as a parent a mixture of magic and misery

Giving Tradition
Now that my boys are older they really understand how fortunate they are. Every year before Christmas I have them donate toys and clothes. Believe it or not they get so excited. We packaged up our toys and clothes, put them in our big North Pole bag, set it under the tree and read The Spirit of Christmas. In the morning the toys were gone and in their place the elves had left a little bell.

Traditions
We may have found a new Christmas tradition. Pizza and a Christmas movie under the the tree. This was Bubbys first time watching the Polar Express and to say he enjoyed it would be an understatement. He had us in fits of laughter at his excitement. Several times he had to jump up to dance because he was really feeling the music. I highly recommend this tradition.
