Rain drops

You will never have this day with your children again
Tomorrow they will be a little older than they were today
This day is a gift
Just breath and notice them
Study their little faces and little feet
Pay attention
Relish the charms of the present
Enjoy today

My baby turned 2

Say it isn't so...my baby turned two.
We celebrated this sweet mans birthday with family and a cute little fish themed party.
It was very quiet, relaxed and so bittersweet for me.
The most perfect sweet little party for the most perfect sweet little man.
He was so excited the whole day.  He sang Happy Birthday a million times (to himself). He yelled "its my party" with his little fist held high in the air. He loved opening presents.  This was the first time he had understood and opened his own presents, so sweet to watch.  Each present was met with just as much excitement as the last.  He got everything that he had been eyeing for the past several months (trucks, trains, lego, rockets, and super heros).   His favorite part of the day might have been when he finally got to get his hands on that scrumptious looking cake and eat one of the adorable fish cake pops that I had made at a local bakery (I made the cake and seaweed).  When it came time to sing and blow out the candle (which he had been practicing for the entire day), he became very shy.
It was a day that two year old dreams are made of.
We are so lucky to have this beautiful baby complete our family.
He will forever be my baby.

My little caboose

This adorable fellow is the perfect little caboose to this little family of mine.
He brought so much more life into this household.  He is silly and demanding, sweet and spicy, persistent and energetic.  He insists on running everywhere he goes.  He is a tiny ball of energy that never quits.  He has everyone that loves him wrapped around his little finger.  He is by far the most spoiled out of the three.  His favorite word is no.  His favorite thing to do is pick his "brudders" up from school (he misses them terribly while they are gone).  He is so proud of his jumping skills (he can finally get both feet a smidge off the ground).  He is a tad dramatic and has a scream that can make your ears bleed.  His vocabulary is out of this world and he repeats everything that Brody or I say.  He loves his dog "Busty".  You will never see him without his beloved blue woobie.  He still sucks his thumb.  He is a horrible eater but will eat anything you give him if he has some "dippy" (ketchup, tzatziki, hummus or ranch). He is a Daddy's boy but when Daddy is gone I get lots of lovin'.  When he runs down the hall with is little wiggly bum and yells "I yove you" over his shoulder, my heart explodes. He knows his colors and can count to three.  He pretends to do homework while his brothers do theirs.  When he does something bad he gives you the most precious smile and says "hi!".  He LOVES the water just like his brothers.  He is a lover of all animals.  Twice he has found a bug, picked it up, and brought it into the house to give to me (nasty).  He has a fish that he calls "Finny" that he will sit and watch forever, all the while yelling "where are you" "come out" "I see you" "eat" "he bites me".  He is small in size but big in personality.  We love our little caboose so very much!

6am Wake ups

I don't mind waking up so early when I get to snuggle with this cutie and watch Mickey Mouse.

Third time around...

I am a much more patient mom, I find myself saying "yes" more times than "no", I know the things that really matter, I sadly know how fast kids grow, I cherish  every second.
If this adorable face wants to sit out in the cold, looking at the worlds tackiest Christmas decorations (for the tenth time), while eating chocolate, then by golly thats what we are going to do.
My sister laughs when I say "he's my best friend", but he really is.

Future Gymnast

Babyman had his first trip to the gym with big brothers.
He was in heaven instantly.
He may be small but he is incredibly strong.
He would hang from the bar with his little white finger tips, pulling his legs to his chest, and not let go until I pulled him off.
Small and mighty

Happy First Birthday Baby Man!

We had his party last night. Today is his actual birthday (he was born at 7:42 in the morning).  When Lee went to get him out of bed this morning I asked him to bring him back to our room.  We all three snuggled and quietly sang happy birthday while the rest of the house was still sleeping.  He is the sweetest little guy.  I can't imagine my life without him.  I love you so so much Baby Man!

Warning: there are a lot of pictures on this post.
I think they're all so cute and it was hard to see through all my tears to pick the best few.
One year ago today I loved this man more than I thought possible.  We were snuggled on a hospital bed admiring this beautiful baby boy, trying to take in every little perfect detail of the most adorable baby.
